Our opinion on the Santa Barbara Cala
The Cala Santa Barbara in l'Escala (or creek of the Creu) is not mentioned anywhere, except on the shelves of residents who like the inter-soi that one finds there, especially among the young people. Traditionally, it is the port of the traditional fishing boats who have their landing stage there. But it has become a popular dive spot. It is due to dikes that go down directly into the sea and the rocky bottom. It is also a nice place to swim, jump in the water, or tan until the evening, since it is one of the few coves of the Costa Brava so a part is exposed west.

No sand here : staircase and concrete dikes, rocks, pebbles that does not seem to disturb in the least the youth who will meet there.
To pebbles a little too big, fans still prefer the holds of descent boats.
Kayakers also use them as starting points.
