Our opinion on the Barques Beach
Barques beach is situated in the old city of the Escala at the level of the square of the Sardina. Surrounded by restaurants and cafes, this beach is situated in an area largely pedestrian (only the dike on the left side is accessible by car). Of modest size, it quickly displays full in high season but remains very pleasant for a city center beach (no cars in the direct environment). The beach is supervised in the summer.
Like in every old cities, parking is very difficult in the surroundings. If you do not stay here, we advise you to go to the coves outside the city (north side).
