North of Marbella, there are numerous recent urbanizations. That of Alicate is one of them. A fine sandy beach with several huts in the sand. The atmosphere is relaxing (unlike the city center beaches of Marbella) and the environment is pretty well preserved. During summer, several restaurants put out sunbeds and parasols. A small parking is available at the level of the Los Sardinales hut.
At our sense, this beach is a good compromise between Marbella and Malaga. Several hotels and tourism residences in the urbanization allow to live nearby the beach while being in a calm atmosphere.
To get to this beach coming from Marbella, take the A7 in direction of Malaga. Take the El Rosaria exit then take right in direction of Alcate. Parking at the end of the street.
