Our opinion on the Riuet Beach
South Sant Père Pescador and at the limit of Sant Marti of Empuries (municipality of Escala), we find Riuet beach, a beach with a double face, both separated by the little river of Riuet. On the right side, the beach is classic but with no real interest (small, only 150 meters long) …, a beach reserved for textiles with a small paillote and a hotel nearby. Only advantage, it is uncrowded…we rather come for the left part.
On the left side, a bridge allows us to jump the Riuet. We arrive on a huge beach long of several kilometers and bordered by a vast dune space totally preserved and protected. The beach is totally naturist and this seems very well respected at least for 200 meters long (after we are approaching a campsite).
Parking side, it is not obvious in summer season…only a few places at the level of Riuet street but it is free !

This beach is divided in two zones at the level of the Riuet. On the right side, it is narrow and textile. On the left side, it is huge and naturist.
We go to an area to the other by this bridge who is jumping the Riuet.
Parking is free but small. It is along the Riuet.
Textile side, it is small but we find a little paillote…
…a beautiful natural border…we do not go to an area to another for nothing.
Textile side affluence is low…the beach is small, we can find a better place in the surrounding area !
The paillote is without pretention but pleasant.
Here we are naturist side and at the beginning of a huge beach of sand which extends on several kilometers torwards the north.
Fine sand, dunes…a totally virgin environment with some campsites.
It is the wildest beach next to Escala.
