Our opinion on the Gola Beach
Gola beach of Sant Père Pescador is one of the biggest beach of the Costa Brava and one of the wildest. Situated in the mouth of the Fluvia river, in the heart of the natural park of Aiguamolls, we find a large expanse of sand which extends on 4 kilometers to the south in direction of Escala. A well maintained beach with very fine sand but with a low attendance…probably because of access away from tourist routes…A beach with a peaceful atmosphere, far from agitation, with only neighboor a seaside campsite…All around the beach, canals wind through the natural park. We can practice kayak or paddle, a small sailing school offers rentals. A very nice place for the ones who like nature and calm. On the right side, at the mouth of the river, the beach changes its name and becomes the beach of Can Martinet (it is here that we find an area of 200 kilometers to practice kitesurfing).
The access to this beach is made from the city center of Sant Père Pescador by fallowing the indications of Fluvia and Gola. Next to the beach, we arrive on a track with a limited height of 2,1 meters. We can park 5 minutes from the beach (we bypass the canals).

On the right side, there is a huge beach of 4 kilometers long which offers us extra fine sand and a very low attendance. At the end, it is Can Comes beach.
An everyday cleaned beach in summer. In white, on the left of the picture, there is a campsite…one of the rare instalation of the seaside.
On the right side, we arrive at the mouth of the river of Fluvia (after the beach changes its name and becomes Cortal de la Devesa beach).
Behind the beach, we find several wet areas along the river.
The access of the beach is made from a small dirt trail (5 minutes of walk). We jump the river thanks to a bridge.
Around the beach, we find a network of canals. In front we find the campsite which is cercled by it. We can practice kayak, or paddle, …
Behind the bridge, there is the big beach of Sant Père Pescador.
The access to the beach is made from a durt track in a very good shape. Parking is free and at 5 minutes by foot from the beach.
