A walk along the entire coastline of Calella de Palafrugell. Postcards enthusiasts will love it because the ports and coves are genuinely beautiful. Ocher rocks, fishing boats, vaulted porches, restaurants and the general ambiance is delightful. The Port Pelegri beach marks the southwestern point of this succession of beaches bordered by the promenade. Not very long (70 m), it is often crowded and particularly popular with swimmers. Because it is a little wider than the nearby beach of Port Bo and its seabed is less rocky; therefore, more interesting for swimmers than divers; yet divers still come, probably because the cliffs falling into the sea are home to marine flora and fauna. Access to the beach is not possible for people with reduced mobility.
The beach is lined on both sides by steep rock walls that give it that special character. On the left is the Punta dels Burricaires, a rocky outcrop topped by a cross, lovely gazebo. As the Canadell beach, the beach background is lined with buildings with vaulted roofs: former fishermen boat shed. Now there are shops, bars or diving clubs.
