Our opinion on the Higuera Cove
North of San José, Cala Higuera is the least known and the least frequented beach in the area. The access is complicated and delicate because of a poorly maintained track. The beach itself has only its setting as an advantage because the big pebbles are uncomfortable. Cut in two parts, we will prefer the left creek that seems more pleasant to us (access to the beach is easier). Only for those looking for a little calm …
To get to this creek, at the roundabout at the exit of San-José take on the right (Calle Cala Higuera street). The creek is indicated. We quickly arrive on a durt path. We advise you to park as soon as it becomes in bad condition (after the houses), the creek is near by foot.

Cala Higuera is composed of two adjacent creeks. That of the left on this photo is the most pleasant and the most frequented.
Sublime environment but the beach is not comfortable with big pebbles.
On the right side, a second beach with big pebbles with a restaurant on higher grounds.
This second creek is uncrowded ... access to the sea is very delicate because of the big rocks.
