Our opinion on the San José Beach
Easily accessible beach and with all the aminities, San José beach is the most urban beach. Very well equipped with all the services of a big beach, we come here to swim but also to play beach soccer. The pedestrian promenade along the beach is home to some of the good restaurants of San José. The volcanic environment is sublime and even reminds Lanzarote in the Canary Islands.
Swimming is considered safe in the sector, thing that we checked during our visit. The sea seems almost a lake in this area of Andalusia.
For parking, several parking at the entrance of the city allows parking without real problem (you have to walk 10 minutes to get to this beach). Some places in the alleys perpendicular to the beach are available.

Volcanic landscape in the surroundings ... here no foul constructions as can be seen on the Costa del Sol.
Sunbeds are not forgotten ... we are on an urban beach.
The surroundings of the beach are very nice with little houses and some restaurants on the pedestrian promenade.
Port side, the view on the beach and on the mountain range is really pleasant ( it is in the background that we find the wildest beaches of San José and of the park of Cabo de Gata).
On the harbor, two steps from the beach, several restaurants offer a nice view. For the quality, we prefered the ones of the beach promenade ...
