Located close of Platja d'Aro, Sant Feliu de Guixols has an interesting coastline going south torwards Tossa de Mar. The city center of Sant Feliu kept a pleasant seafront (few constructions of the 60s as can be found at Platja d'Aro) and cultural programming of choice in the monastery in the summer (especially the music festival).
There are several beaches at Sant Feliu de Guixols. The city center is very well laid out with a pleasant pedestrian promenade and many restaurants in the neighboring streets. To the north, in the neighborhood of Sant Pol (seaside district with some beautiful villas on the seafront), there is the largest beach of sand (narrow depending the areas). It is also one of the few surf spots on the Costa Brava. To the south, the coast becomes very rugged and the road is winding. A few coves and interesting beaches in the middle of hamlets composed exclusively of second homes (on a human scale).
Near Sant Feliu, the beaches of Platja d'Aro can be interesting for those who love infinite beaches. The offer in accommodation is more consistent (large towers without charm on the seafront). To the south, the pretty resort of Tossa de Mar with its picturesque narrow streets and walls is one of the nuggets of the Costa Brava.
