Our opinion on the Malagueta Beach
Principal urban beach of Malaga, the beach of Malagueta is also the best equipped beach of the area. Two steps from the harbor (recently renovated) and from the old city, this beac h offers fine sand and is maintained throughout the year. Activities are not lacking with games for children, a collection of sunbeds for rent (the public space available is well above the Spanish average) and several restaurants directly on the sand. Several landscaped areas with lawn and palm trees allows you to enjoy some shade. The sea passage is very pleasant in its part close to the port with several restaurants (we will only regret the lack of shadow … recurring problem in Andalusia… it is very hot and does not rain often). It is to our sense one of the most beautiful beach of Malaga even if it is crowded in summer.

This beach of Malagueta is the nearest beach from the city center of Malaga. It is also one of the most pleasant.
On the right, the view on the harbor is not the best one ... we are in one of the largest ports of Andalusia.
Nice width of sand with vaste public areas even if private beaches are numerous.
Fine sand for the upper part of the beach (slightly gray).
Closest to the sea, some areas with gravel. Very common in Andalusia ... Unlike the French side of the Mediterranean, this coast undergoes tides.
Relatively fine sand ... quite rare on this part of the Andalusian coast, with often find pebble and gravel.
The seaside next to the port of Malaga is very built. There are mainly residential buildings.
The name of the beach is beautifully represented at the center of the beach.
Activities are numerous : zip line (visible in this photo), games for children, mattress rentals, … Those who want a little shade can settle on the lawn under a palm tree.
Pleasant pedestrian promenade slightly off the road and several restaurants on the beach.
