Our opinion on the El Pano Beach
El Palo is an old fishing hamlet 6 km east from the city center of Malaga. There is a pleasant sandy beach. Even if the beach is not monitored, swimming is quite secure thanks to the breakwaters. The atmosphere is family and relaxed. The seaside of El Palo is authentic with many small, simple restaurants where you can taste typical dishes of Andalusia including grilled sardines over a wood fire. Only drawback, the proximity of the road (one way) … it is not busy (we come to park) but can be a problem for families with children.

Pleasant sandy beach north of Malaga in an old fishing hamlet with many restaurants nearby. You even have the possibility to rent sunbeds.
Between the two coves of sand, some fishermen boats gives the general atmosphere of this beach.
Some buildings « spoil » a little landscape. But they are not in first line.
Authenticity ... restaurants offer to savor grilled sardines facing the Mediterranean.
Here no fuss... restaurants are set between the road and the beach.
