Begur seaside resort is located on Spain's Costa Brava 80 km south of the French border and an hour and a half north of Barcelona. The architecture of this resort is a complete break with the rest of the Costa Brava. Its rugged coast is mainly composed of coves. In the old town, you can discover the medieval castle and beautiful houses built by the settlers after making their fortune in America.
Undoubtedly, it is the beaches of Begur that are most interesting. Composed mainly of typical small coves with some old fishermen's houses and old boats, they make a break with the image we get of the Spanish coast. There are places where you can discover this remarkable waterfront. We particularly enjoyed the Cap de Begur with its semaphore that offers a breath-taking view but also that of the Mirador de la Creu with a view that stretches north to Roses and south to Aiguafreda Beach
If you stay at Begur, we advise you to spend a day in Barcelona to discover its beaches (animation in Spanish) and its town centre. In the north, you will also appreciate the originality of Empuriabrava with its marina and canals.
