Our opinion on the Illa Roja Cove
Begur Illa Roja cove has an international reputation. Beautiful beach, this is one of the most emblematic of the coast of Begur. It is overlooked by a rocky island that takes a red hue at sunrise and sunset, hence the name of the cove. It is a quiet place, with its fine sand and clear water, which may experience over-crowding at times. The beach is protected behind a high rocky wall on which is located the promenade. Illa Roja is a beach where nudism is allowed. It is not possible to go there directly without going along the walkway or the street Illa Roja, there is very little parking. No shower, no equipment rental. However, you can find almost anything to rent on the nearby beach of Raco (boats, boards, paddle board ...). There is also a beach bar in the summer season.
