Our opinion on the Santa Margarida Beach
Santa Margarida beach is situated west from Roses, at the limit of Empuriabrava. This large sandy beach is equivalent to the large beach of Roses (both are in continuity) with many facilities and a very fine sand. Almost all of the beach is public (little mattress rental, very rare in Spain). We enjoy its pedestrian promenade with many restaurants and no cars in the area.
The district of Santa Margarida is the newest of Roses. This is where we find the marina and lots of resorts with some directly on the waterfront. The major asset is the pedestrian waterfront (this is not the case at the center of Roses, port side). A family destination whose main vocation is the beach.

Fine sand, surveillance post, largely public space…a very pleasant beach !
Santa Margarida is the newest area of Roses, it is here that we find the most important resorts.
