Santa Christina Beach of is one of the most popular in Lloret de Mar. It is quite long (300 m), and joins with the adjacent cove on its right (100 m). It is dominated by a large grassy area which allows people to participate in various sports without disturbing the bathers. It also has good sports and relaxation facilities. For the quality of its environment, it has been regularly awarded the Blue Flag. This cove has attracted lots of hotel, such as the Santa Marta.
You may wonder why the hotel is called so while everything here is dedicated to Santa Christina whose shrine is historic. The chapel, located a few meters on the hill, near the car park, still keeps some relics of the holy martyr, patron saint of the village and a procession held on every 24th July. As well as visiting the sanctuary (the terrace offers beautiful views of the coast), Santa Cristina Beach provides easy access to Cala Treumal and Punta Cano.
The seabed is sandy but the entry slope into the water is quite steep so allowing access for tourist boats, some with transparent bottoms to allow you to see the seabed.
