The seaside resort of Sant Antoni de Calonge is situated on the Costa Brava (Girona) between Palamos and Platja d'Aro (north of Sant Feliu de Guixols). Its town-centre consists mainly of large charmless buildings but, in the summer season, it is very lively.
Several beaches in Sant Antoni de Calonge. The largest is located in the city centre and stretches for over several kilometres in the direction of Palamos. The different areas are well equipped. It is a classic beach of the Costa Brava. South, heading towards Platja d'Aro, a trail has been cut so you can reach the coves of Calonge, which is a striking contrast from the central beach. Calmer, many sandy corners allow you to forget that you are in a very touristic destination.
Accommodation side, no real problem to find a hotel, a holiday home or campsite. The choice is varied and reasonably priced. Animation side, Platja d'Aro is livelier in the evening (a few kilometres away).
Nearby Calonge, there are the most beautiful corners of the Costa Brava. The Palafrugell beaches are unavoidable (cut from the various hamlets that have kept their authentic sides). We also like the coves south of Sant Feliu de Guixols that are reached by following a winding road offering outstanding views. It is the true Costa Brava, the untamed!
