Our opinion on the Zurriola Beach
At the entrance of San Sebastian, in the neighborhood of Gros (close to the old town), on the right bank of the Urumea river, we can find Zurriola beach. Formerly abandoned (it is very open to the ocean without any protection), this beach has been completely redesigned. It is today one of the favorite beaches of San Sebastian (especially with the youngest). It is the most complete beach that even has an area reserved for naturists (closest area to the dike, on the left), to our knowledge the only urban beach of this style ! But above all it is a famous spot for surfers. The waves are regular, making bathing not always easy and even dangerous. Caution, many accidents are to be deplored…
Seasonal watching, access for the disabled and location of deckchairs. Great spot to admire a sunset. In summer, several concerts and a jazz festival take place on that beach.
