Our opinion on the Concha Beach
La Concha beach in San Sebastian (Playa Concha) is the best known and the most popular beach of the seaside resort. It extends for more than 1 km and has a fine sand. Central position in the city center facing the islet of Santa Clara and next to the port, it is here that we find the animation throughout the year. The pedestrian promenade borders the beach. It is often cited as one of the most beautiful beaches in Spain ! The environment is composed of a bourgeois building with on the right side the town hall (it is the old casino). In summer it is possible to rent tents and several restaurants on the left side (old sea baths). A very nice place ! On the left side, in continuity, we find the beach of Ondarreta. In August, it is here that a firework festival takes place during a week (it is one of the most important in the world).

The beach of La Concha is the most central beach of San Sebastian. It is located next to the port.
The port of San Sebastian closes the bay of La Concha. It is possible to discover the bay from here (boat trips).
Huge sandy beach at low tide bordered by a pleasant pedestrian promenade.
This bay is fairly well protected by the island of Santa Clara.
This island belongs to the city of San Sebastian (small dock with a beach at low tide, connection with the port in summer). In the 16th century, it was used to isolate people with plague.
On the right side, we have a beautiful view on Mount Urgull (castle of La Mota at its summit). On the promenade, there is the old casino of 1887 and which shelters the town hall now a days.
Very specific style for the seaside at the beach of La Concha. The style is rather of the Belle Epoque.
This beach is often cited as one of the most beautiful in Spain.
