Our opinion on the North Beach
The north beach of Peniscola stretches from the old city (at the level of the castle, former residence of Pope Benoit XIII) to the new urbanization of Peniscola (limit of Benicarlo). This huge sandy beach is part of the nice beaches of the Valencian Community. It has all the facilities that can be imagined from a latge urban beach : first aid stations, mattresses rentals, beach volleybal courts, showers, sanitaries, pedalo rentals, … A complete beach with exceptional dimensions. The nearest area from the castle is the most frequented and the most lively (day and night). Going up towards the north, the environment becomes a little less pleasant, one finds the classical architecture of the big seaside resorts of Spain (seaside concreting, it reminds us a little that of Juan les Pins in France while the pedestrian promenade reminds us of Cannes).
Parking is very difficult in the surroundings. To take full advantage of Peniscola, it is advisable to stay in one of the hotels near the peninsula.

We are on the area closest to Peniscola peninsula, at the castle level. There is a big pedestrian promenade which reminds us of the Cannes Croisette.
A very well equipped beach with beach volleyball courts, long chairs for rent, first aid stations,…
... arranged accesses for people with reduced mobility. An infinite beach that stretches over 4 km long !
The city center area is the most frequented, it is here that we find many hotel clubs.
On the promenade, several playgrounds are arranged for children…
... and a very pretty fountain.
North, the seafront is totally disfigured with many buidings od the 60s.
