The beach of La Fosca is the most popular with Palamos locals by its beauty, its natural environment, preserved from large buildings such as those of the great beach in the centre.
The beach is recognized for its large black rock in the centre. This is the Roca Fosca, a promontory over 7 meters high. This is the point that separates the beach in two parts, the left one being deeper. The beach is urban, but reasonably. A charm that families from the area appreciate from generation to generation. Long before the explosion of tourism in Spain, Fosca was a mecca for sea bathing.
What also attracts families, is the gentle shelving beach that facilitates the entry into the water. The bottom is sandy and the only few rocks are around the Roca Fosca. The beach has all the amenities, including for people with reduces mobility.
