Our opinion on the Castell Beach
If you are looking for an untamed beach in Palamos, the Castell Beach is the place to come! Bordered by a pleasant pine forest and with only two or three buildings (used as a restaurant in the summer), this beach is one of the most unspoiled of the Costa Brava (hard to stay nearby, there is only a 5 * hotel, 1km away). In the summer, it is supervised and it is possible to rent sun loungers. On the left, the coastal footpath provides access to the many uncrowded small coves (a naturist one is about 30 minutes’ walk).
Two solutions to reach this beach. The first from the north end of the beach of Fosca and by taking the footpath (40 minutes of walking, leisurely stroll). The second is to take the C31 towards Palafrugell. Castell exit is indicated (the beach is 2 km away, pay parking in the summer season).

Very nice size this untamed beach of Palamos. You can see in this picture the restaurant (open seasonally with sun loungers hire) and the Castell point. The Cap Roig coastal footpath with its many small sandy coves (Cala Sania, Cala Canyers, Cala dels Corbs, Cala Estreta, Cala Roca Bona, Cala Cap de Planes and Cala El Crit) some of which are naturist (about 30 minutes’ walk from the beach to find them).
On the right, the coastal footpath can reach the beach of Fosca through a pleasant fishing village.
This beach is popular with families because swimming is on a gentle shelving sea bed. The neighbouring rocks are popular with divers.
