Our opinion on the Jardin Beach
Thought and made by César Manrique (he is from Lanzarote, he helped to highlight the island, he also made some realizations in Tenerife so this beach and the Lago Martianez), Jardin of Puerto de la Cruz beach (or Playa Jardin) is the largest beach of this resort north of Tenerife. Composed by three coves of black sand separated by gardens and bordered by a pleasant pedestrian promenade, this beach is very popular in Puerto de la Cruz. This is the meeting point of the locals the weekend. It is monitored throughout the year and has many facilities (restaurants on the beach boardwalk, mattress rentals,…). When the weather is clear (it is rare in the mountains, the summit is 3700 meters high), you can even see the snowy peaks of the Teide. It is our favorite beach of Puerto de la Cruz.

Pleasant gray sand beach near the center of Puerto de la Cruz and the famous park of Loro Parque. In the background on the dike, we have the castle of San Felipe.
Several coves make up this beach of the Jardin connected by pleasant pedestrian promenade with some restaurants (first cove next to the castle).
Palm trees, gardens, restaurants…the different amenties have been thought by Manrique.
The beach is bordered by a pleasant pedestrian promenade and the coves are separated by gardens.
The second cove is less busy. It is monitored all year long.
The central area has less equipment, it is possible to rent sun loungers.
The third cove is the least crowded (it is the farthest from downtown).
