Our opinion on the Grande Beach
1,3 km of fine sand for the beach of Costa Calma which is one of the most beautiful urban beaches of Fuerteventura. Even if this seaside resort is very popular with the Germans, we always manage to find a place to put our towel. Unlike many tourist resorts in the Canaries, the seafront is undeveloped here (from a commercial point of view, there are only buildings). The beach is away from the center of Costa Calma (the city is high but only 200 meters as the crow flies) giving the feeling of being in a quiet place.
The beach is supervised and it is possible to rent sun loungers.
No restaurant directly on the sand, restaurants and cafes are located in the narrow streets.

Long sandy beach in the center of Costa Calma which stretches for over one kilometer.
The width of the beach is important (even at high tide). Unlike many tourist resorts of Fuerteventura, the seafront is little touristy (we see only unattractive buildings but no restaurants or shops).
Many buildings on the seafront more or less high depending on the areas.
Some small dunes allow to isolate and espacially to protect this beach from urbanization.
