To the west of Sant Antoni de Portmany, the beach of Cala Bassa is one of the gems of Ibiza. Alas, the commercial side spoils the appearance of the area ... the view towards the sea is always sublime with varied and unspoiled landscapes (mountains, pine forests ...). However, the background of the beach has been exploited to the full with restaurants. The public space is very small (many areas for sun loungers on the beach and in the pine forest) but we are in Ibiza ...
Note that there is a campsite near this beach, attendance is very important (we went on that beach in mid-June, it was overcrowded ...).
Beautiful things have a price ... so the parking is not free (5 €). Water activities at the level of the access. Equipped beach for people with reduced mobility.
To get to this beach from Sant Antoni, take the PM-803 for 5 km then turn off to the right (several beaches signposted: Cala Tarida, Comte and Cala Bassa Beaches). Follow the road for 6.5 km (well signposted). Parking fee required.
