Our opinion on the Barranquillo Beach
Barranquillo beach is situated in the north of Puerto Del Carmen near Los Pocillos (and near the airport of Lanzarote). Huge sandy beach in length and width equipped with some private areas (rental of deckchairs). Shops are nearby but are less present than in the center of Puerto Del Carmen (the big resorts remind us that we are in the most touristic area of Lanzarote). Nice but without real charm…something is missing to make the difference, probably a beach too banal, we expect something more original for the Canary Islands.

This beach in the north of the center of Puerto Del Carmen is long and large. Far away, we see Los Pocillos, a sort of hamlet of Puerto Del Carmen.
No real surprise for this sandy beach of Lanzarote…deckchairs for rent and sand as far as the eye can see. It looks a lot like the beaches of the Spanish Mediterranean coast.
The south side of the beach ends with a tip. The beach becomes less wide and some areas become rocky. Pleasant pedestrian promenade bordered by a few hotel complexes.
