Located in the north-east of Lanzarote, the fishing village of Harrieta is still very authentic. We are far from the seaside resorts of the south of the island of Lanzarote. Small houses covered with white lime and small narrow lanes for this destination close to the points of interest of the North. In the village, many small restaurants where you can enjoy fresh fish.
There is a unique beach in Arrieta. It is south of the village and is composed of sand (very rare in this part of Lanzarote where we find mainly volcanic lava). We appreciate its small family restaurant which offers a magnificent view of the beach and where you can taste assortments of fish at very attractive prices.
Arrieta is a good base for exploring northern Lanzarote with a lava tunnel created by a volcanic eruption of over 5000 years (Cueva de Los Verdes). Jameos del Agua is the second attraction near Arrieta. Landscaped by Manrique, this cave with its blue lake attracts even tourist buses from the south of the island. The Mirador del Rio provides a panoramic view of Graciosa island (accessible by boat from Orzola), on the cliffs as well as on the volcanoes of the South.
