Our opinion on the La Garita Beach
La Garita beach is the only sandy beach of Arrieta (north-east of Lanzarote). Located at the end of the village south side, this sandy beach is surrounded by volcanic lava and offers a beautiful view of the white houses of Arrieta. Very beautiful setting. South side, a second small sandy beach,with a quieter and wilder environment.
Note that both beaches are virtually covered at high tide.
In the center of the main beach there is a beach restaurant where you can eat very good fish at reasonable prices (2.8€ for 100 grams). A reputed address in northern Lanzarote (very difficult to find a table on Sunday).
You have two access for this beach. The first by the center of Arrieta (Calle Tres Barrancos) with a small parking. The second by the main road (LZ-1) taking a track on the left at the exit of Arrieta taking the direction of Arrecife (big parking lot).

Photos of the La Garita Beach
Lovely little sandy beach just steps from the village of Arrieta. At high tide, a large part of the beach is covered. On the left of the photo (next to the parking), we have a restaurant (very good to eat fish, very reasonable prices).
We are far from the tourist beaches of southern Lanzarote. Relatively quiet beach even in high season.
South side, a second sandy beach surrounded by volcanic rocks. The landscapes are more wild.
