Pinedo is the south district of Valencia on the right bank of the mouth of the Turia river (the new one because it has been deflected). It is administratively dependent of Valencia but its environment is a lot different, we are in an agricultural area (orchards, rice fields, …) and partly integrated in the Natural Park of Albufera (park that has a large shallow coastal lagoon).
Pinedo beach starts at the level of Turia river (it is attached to the port area of Valencia). It marks the beginning of a vaste sandy beach which extends on more than 25 km to the south. The beach is well laid out with restaurants, matress rentals, several first aid stations, accesses for people with reduced mobility, … and an extremely fine white sand. It is very appreciated by families because we bath on a very low slope. The environment could be sublime but the left view is unpleasant with the port of Valencia … we prefer the beaches slightly more south that put the port to distance.
The south part of the beach is allowed to dogs (after the restaurants).
We come to the beach by the CV-500. A Pinedo exit is indicated. Free parking.
