Our opinion on the Playa Honda Beach
The beach of Playa Honda is located near the airport of Lanzarote (only 500 meters from the airport but planes do not land on this side). It is part of the biggest sandy beaches of Lanzarote. We particularly appreciate its central part (but West coast – airport side area) composed of fine sand and a width of up to 100 meters. East side, there are some rocky areas with volcanic lava making bathing difficult at low tide.
A pleasant pedestrian promenade borders this beach with restaurants. Not many shops, there are mainly typical houses (white houses with one or two floors – some are in holiday rentals).

Long and vast sandy beach along the seafront of Playa Honda. The interesting area is the nearest area from the airport (the East coast is recovered following the areas with volcanic lava at low tide like we can see on this picture).
Nice width of sand with a pleasant seafront (little white houses).
The environment is very pleasant with a view on the volcanic chain of Lanzarote. Only shadow in this landscape is the airport which is near (we can see the control tower in the center of the picture) ... but it is not disturbing.
Very pleasant seafront composed of little white houses and of a pleasant pedestrian promenade.
Several restaurants in the center of the beach with Spanish specialities.
