Beaches in Puerto del Carmen (Canary Islands) Spain - advise, map and photos

Located on the east coast of Lanzarote island (Canary Islands) Puerto Del Carmen is the principal and the most important seaside resort. It is the favorite destination for the British. The seafront takes place on several kilometers and is divided between sandy beaches and seaside shops. We are in a real tourist factory (animation all year, the water temperature never goes bellow 19°C).

Several beaches in Puerto Del Carmen, without a doubt the most beautiful beaches of Lanzarote but also the most common ones : large sandbanks, several rows of sun loungers with umbrellas, nautical activities and restaurants nearby where you can lunch with the sea view in restaurants of mediocre quality but whose prices are unbeatable (at least for beer and bacon eggs).

On the housing side, the offer is diversified…many 4 star hotels on the seafront (without great charm) or apartments for rent. Some houses are also for rent (a little more authentic).

Puerto Del Carmen is only a few kilometers south of the airport of Lanzarote. Many car rental companies directly from Puerto Del Carmen to discover Lanzarote (the goegraphical station is good for visiting the island).
