Beaches in Playa de los Cristianos (Canary Islands) Spain - advise, map and photos

Situated in the south of Tenerife (Canary islands), Los Cristianos is the most important seaside resort of Tenerife island like Las Américas. Its city center is organized around its port and its two beaches. The seaside is very pleasant with pedestrian walks and buildings (the big tourist resorts are in Las Américas just 2 km to the north).

There are three beaches at Los Cristianos. Our favorite is the beach of Las Vistas. It stretches for over a kilometer with fine sand. It is lined with a pleasant pedestrian promenade with bars, restaurants and shops. That of Los Cristiano sis located in the historical center. Both are very well equipped and monitored throughout the year.

Los Cristianos is one of our favorite destinations in Tenerife. We enjoyed its animation (very frequented by English and Germans), its relatively well preseved side (it is enourmously built but the buildings of the seafront are of reasonable size and keep a small authentic side) and its beaches (we must be remembered that a large part of the coast of Tenerife is rocky). Its climate is an advantage (the south coast is very sunny all year long).
