Our opinion on the Gaztetape Beach
Gaztetape beach in Getaria is located at the exit of the city by taking the direction of Zumaia. Less pleasant than the downtown beach, it is mostly frequented by surfers (we have changed direction, the ocean is agitated here). We appreciate the view of the islet El Raton. On the other hand, the beach disappears at high tide (there remains only pebbles).
In summer, the beach is monitored and an area is reserved for sufers. Low attendance. Parking is possible along the road (only a few places). Access by stairs or by a ramp on the right side.

Located to the west from the city center of Getaria, this beach is the benchmark of the surfers of the region. The se ais agitated (unlike the beach in the city center). The beach is narrower (at the high tide, the beach largely disappears). On the right side (closest area from the islet El Raton), there is an access ramp (a little stiff for people with reduced mobility, you will need help).
The view on the islet El Raton (the Mouse because of its form) is very pleasant. On the other hand, beside, some industrial warehouses somewhat distorts the site.
The parking is done directly at the edge of the road (places are limited).
