Our opinion on the Cala Major Beach
The beach of Cala Major is on the west bank of Palma de Mallorca. Cove the closest to the harbour of Palma, it is in a very urban district with many buildings. The cove in itself is very nice and serrated in two beaches. That of right is the main with two restaurants, a post of surveillance, equipment for the persons with reduced mobility and deckchairs to be even too much rented and because the public space is very limited The sea is calm in general in the sector and bathing becomes descending soft. Nice cove but with a feeling of suffocation …
They achieve this cove since Palma de Mallorca following the road of the seaside (My - 1C). Parking along the avenue Joan Miro (very difficult in summer, paid).

Nice urban cove on the West from Palma de Mallorca. Environment is very constructed with many hotels and residence. The public zone of the beach is small, it is between umbrellas and mattress.
On the edge of the beach (directly on the sand), there are two restaurants.
Fine sand, not enough depths, bathing is nice to it. In this sector, the rather rocky and very constructed East Coast.
Main cove close to the centre of Palma, this beach is watched in summer.
As often in Spain, the beach is pervaded of umbrellas and mattress but it is not expensive ...
Access is very well done up for the persons with mobility reduced in the main cove (right).
The left cove is less visited and more aired...
A first restaurant very well done up... a second more snack bar on the righthand.
View is completely clear on the south Majorca side ... a light lack of exoticism.
